Via Table of Malcontents a blog over at wired:
That said, a real-life sighting of the Flying Spaghetti Monster in Germany has me convinced: the FSM is that invisible old man who lives on a cloud.

Businessman discovers Fark makes 60k+ a month, says “WTF? Squirrel Balls!”
Over on digg I see that Spider Tactics has this post about this guys boss checking out Fark. Classic stuff, and the making of a new cliche to be over used on Fark.
After spending some time on Fark he became agitated by the lack of seriousness to the site. He was having a hard time understanding how something so silly could generate so much money, as I'm sure many business owners would. But what really made the whole situation hilarious was when he yelled "WTF? There are squirrel balls on the about page!"

America eats its young
Garrison Keilor over at Salon writes America eats its young which contains this beauty:
I think we must bite the bullet and say no more healthcare for card-carrying Republicans. It just doesn't make sense to invest in longevity for people who don't believe in the future. Let them try faith-based medicine, let them pray for their arteries to be reamed and their hips to be restored, and leave science to the rest of us.
Cutting out healthcare for one-third of the population -- the folks with Bush-Cheney bumper stickers, who still believe the man is doing a heckuva job -- will save enough money to pay off the national debt, not a bad legacy for Republicans.
