So my resume is on some of the job boards. I like what I do now, but I would also like to be just a bit more creative day to day so I have my eyes at least open... Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that the resume sites (this "hit" came from monster) are sometimes just absurd. I routinely get calls and emails from recruiters looking for me to relocate to awful places that I have in no way indicated I would be willing to relocate to. I'm asked about things I'm clearly not qualified or looking to do. We all know the drill, some key word hit in their search and boom, they're on the phone. But this one got me thinking...
What could it be about my 11+ years in IT, currently designing solutions for multi million dollar contracts that warranted this offer:

I had the good fortune of seeing your resume on Monster.com and I would like to invite you to apply for an opportunity with Toys "R" Us. As we get closer to the Holiday season we are anxious to bring on more great Associates to fill temporary Seasonal positions. We are actively looking to fill the following:

Sales Clerks ~ Cashiers ~ Bike Assemblers ~ Video Game Enthusiasts ~
Early Morning & Closing shifts are available as well as Overnight Stocking (Premium pay for Overnights - 9 pm to 6 am)

Oh my...

Look nothing against Toys R Us or the people that work there, but who the hell saw the resume headline:
Web Development Manager, Solution & Integration Specialist and thought: "Hey, here's a guy who wants a part time gig during the holidays as a Toys R Us cashier"
