Cox Communication of Phoenix Boldly Redefines "Available Now" to mean "Available In 12 Days"

So I'm not a huge TV guy or anything, but I like my Audio/Visual entertainment a fair amount. And I pay attention to things happening in the local market. So I've known that Cox was rolling out OnDemand in the Phoenix area for over a year. I even knew that Tempe (where I currently reside) was the slowest to get this technology that the rest of the country and most of the rest of the Phoenix market has had for a while now.

The actual article (linked from Digg) is a pretty good read.
It's nice to see how far out of the way Bungie went here. I'm not much of a gamer, though Race is, but I get the devotion this kid had. It's a decent story so far that has a little way to go to play out in full.

RIAA lawsuit victim Tanya Andersen’s countersuit against the RIAA has potentially disastrous consequences for the war on file sharing.

Listen, I make my living when people don't use non-infringing methods of obtaining their media, but I have to say the RIAA tactics here (which smell just like the Dtv suits) trouble me.

Google, Microsoft Said To Be Preparing Bids For Digg

This is kind of a bummer news story to read, but not really surprising. It's been a long time since Digg was on the radar for purchase. Will it stumble further into mainstream uselessness or will whatever the new Digg becomes get back to the days of being better than /.

User-generated news site Digg has been working with influential investment bank Allen & Co. (the ones that recently got Slide a half billion dollar valuation) for a few months now, and pitching big tech and media companies on a sale.
